Resolved Question: Help with a pattern for knitted slippers? My 86 year old Mom loves these and wants me to make them for her- she can not knit any longer – anyways – when I do as she says the slippers are child size- I do not knit tight- here is the pattern- FYI- she insists you cast on 62 stitiches – does anyone know the correct amount to cast on? single yarn cast on 62- knit 10 rows then K2 K2tog knit acorss row till you have 4 left K2tog then K2 – next row is the same but purl till you have 26 stitches left then you knit 10 -rows this is a patetrn she has in her head- she needs new slippers hers are a mess- any suggestions would be very helpful >Linda

(Shaun Cassidy Linda Purl) VERY HARD TO FIND MOVIE Based on a true story, the made-for-TV Like Normal People IS the story of a romance between two mentally challenged adults. In his first dramatic acting appearance, Shaun Cassidy plays Roger Meyers, a mildly retarded man who, while living in a home for the handicapped, falls in love with another resident, Virginia Rae Hensler (Linda Purl). Despite the fierce opposition of their parents–not to mention one of the administrators, who regards such a union as “a social obscenity”–Roger and Virginia are determined not only to marry, but to raise a family. Virtually their only ally is teacher Bill Stein (Zalman King), who formulates a stringent training program to show the couple the obstacles that they will face, and must overcome, in their future lives. Like Normal People made its ABC debut on April 13, 1979.
