Resolved Question: Should Michael Bay take a lesson from James Cameron in making action films with depth? Whenever James Cameron makes action films it seems like he is always able to weave an emotional story of tragedy into the script that makes the viewers cry and cheer at the same time, whereas when Michael Bay makes an action film all that seems to matter is having the volume up extra loud for all the carnage scenes whereas the characters never express enough meaningful emotion to make the viewers care what happens to them. So it’s a bunch of wild cheering throughout for ever explosion or gunshot. I think that says something about the quality of the acting or lack of it. Cameron seems to do a better job than Bay of getting the most out of his acting staff. Still, both of them are now known for their films being huge money makers! Among them are “Titanic” and “Aliens” for Cameron and “Bad Boys II” and “Transformers” for Michael Bay. Resolved Question: Why do they almost always show nude men in modern movies but not nude women? It’s one thing that they decided to cut down on the sex scenes in the movies, but for some reason, they are now almost always showing men’s as# cracks but they hardly ever show that with women.
If I have to see bare as# on TV, I’d prefer women, not men. It’s like they’re adding insult to injury in a way. They no longer show nude women like they showed in 1984′s Terminator during the sex scene with Linda Hamilton and Michael Beine.
